Trying to get back in the swing
I've slowly been getting out of my online rut in recent days. This time around I'm not attempting to make any grand promises about updating all my online presences including Marcelo's blog. But what I am attempting is doing the little things everyday to keep me motivated. This past year raising Marcelo has definitely tested my motivation, dedication, and efforts to my photography. My photography has definitely been in hibernation and I have to be honest, it's been tough letting it slip while raising the little guy. However I can't imagine my life without him as he brings me so much joy. It has taken me over a year to really find where being a father and my personal photography can co-mingle without being a source of stress and frustration. With the invaluable help and incredible patience of Mel, I'm getting better and better at finding that happy medium. Slowly but surely, things are happening and hopefully it will get easier.
So to go along with this post, it's only natural that I post one of my favorite portraits of Marcelo taken back in August on his 7 month birthday. For this photo, it's all about his eyes - they kill me every time.
